Sometimes the best musical projects are the ones you never see coming. Slightly Famous Somebodies began with a simple invitation from artist Anna Jensen (Kinney) to contribute to a 100+ song living tribute album honoring her husband, Kevin Kinney, and Drivin’ N Cryin’. Jonathan Spencer reached out and asked if I’d sing lead on one of the recordings, and what started as a single tribute song quickly grew into something more. We continued recording together, adding covers of songs by R.E.M. and the Indigo Girls, and discovered a chemistry that was too much fun to leave in the studio. Today, Slightly Famous Somebodies is a group of friends brought together by a love of great songs, great musicians, and the joy of making music together.

The line-up includes Laura Slade Wiggins (Shameless), Jonathan Spencer (Pineapple Express, Parks & Recreation, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Kane Stanley (Cosmic Charlie), Adam McIntyre (The Pinx, Wayne Kramer Band), and Vaylor Trucks (Brother + Sister).
